Just to let everyone know, the 2nd amendment task force is attempting to organize a 4th of July open carry march in the parade.

The Anchorage Second Amendment Task Force will be sponsoring a open carry march in Anchorage's Independence Day Parade.
Details are as follows:
Who: All armed citizens are invited to participate.
What: The parade route is essentially a walk around the park strip, approximately 2 miles.
When: Participants will meet ready to march no later than 10:00 am, Saturday, July 4th.
Where: We are assigned space 55, which will meet downtown on G Street, at it's intersection with West 8th Avenue.
How:
This will be an open carry event. What you carry is up to you.
With a good turnout and a limited space, long guns will need to be carried by sling or shoulder arms, hand guns should be holstered.
If you chose to join us, please consider wearing a "Gun Owner" tee shirt available. Dress that is historic in nature is also encouraged, but please, no camouflage.
If you prefer, come dressed as you are. All armed citizens are welcome.
Why: Our intent is to show the unarmed that gun ownership is not something to be feared but is a positive pursuit of our Unalienable Right.
